Dr. Merih Yılmaz was born in Muğla in 1974. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Adana. Dr. Merih Yılmaz started his medical education at Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1992. After graduating in 1998, he started to work in Taşlıçay district of Ağrı province due to compulsory service, then he worked at Sivrihisar State Hospital in Eskişehir province. After his military service, he worked as an ambulance physician in Eskişehir Provincial Ambulance Service. Until the end of 2006, she worked as the European Resuscitation Council Advanced Life Support Trainer and took part in various courses organized by the Turkish Resuscitation Council in different cities of Turkey.

Between 2006 and 2012, he completed his cardiovascular surgery residency at Hacettepe University, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery. After completing his compulsory service in Iğdır and Denizli State Hospitals, he resigned and started working in private heart centers. He is still working in Muğla Private Yücelen Hospital Heart Center.
