Neurofeedback is actually a body training. With this method, it is ensured that the body works in coordination with the brain. When this permanent learning system is applied with the help of sensors several times a week, the brain relearns. There are a number of sensors, and when these sensors are connected to the human body, physiological information about itself starts to appear on the computer screen instantly. For at least half an hour, he starts to see his own parameters and learn to bring them back to normal. If this study is done 10-20 times, which may vary from person to person. Sometimes it can be learned in 30, sometimes 40 times. When the body learns this, it starts using it on autopilot. With neurofeedback therapy, it can be applied to drug, alcohol and cigarette addicts without using drugs or as an additional treatment to the drugs used. In these studies, in which the method of changing beta and alpha waves was applied, it was observed that the rate of returning to substance addiction within a year was lower. In addition to the rehabilitation treatment of mentally handicapped children such as autism and down syndrome, neurofeedback support, especially at the initial level of the disease, does not have a 100% effect as a treatment, but it prevents the progression of such disorders.
