He was born in Muğla in 1964. After completing his primary and secondary education in Muğla, he graduated from high school in Ankara. He started studying at Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry in 1981. He graduated in 1987.
He worked as a freelance dentist in Muğla between 1990-2012. He worked as a dentist in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus between 2014 and 2018.
