Anal Condyloma
Anal condyloma is one of the diseases that our patients who come to the dermatology outpatient clinic of our hospital suffer from or that can be confused from time to time.
What Is Anal Condyloma?
Condylomas, popularly known as breech warts, are one of the problems encountered due to the HPV virus. It can be transmitted through sexual intercourse. This virus, which has many varieties, enters the cell and changes the DNA structure.
The immune system is effective in causing this virus to cause disease. The virus, which can remain for a long time without causing any disease, can also cause penile and anus cancers in men and cervical cancers and skin cancer in women. HPV, a highly dangerous virus, can be easily transmitted by contact.
Condylomas can multiply and grow more and more. If left untreated, it can spread to the intestines and cause clogging. Since it is a disease that can recur after treatment, the immune system plays an important role.
If the immune system is strong, the disease can be more easily defeated. It is important to pay attention to hygiene in this disease.

In surgical treatment, the patient is treated under anesthesia and the type of anesthesia is decided according to the size and number of lesions. The areas where the warts are found are cleaned and the warts are burned one by one. Warts are checked in the anus or vagina. If there are warts in these areas, these warts are burned with a laser probe.
